Zhang Jianhua, Secretary of the Party Leadership and Director-General of the State Energy Administration, said at the recent High-level Forum on China's Energy Development that in the past five years, China's energy transformation has been deepened, the pace of clean low-carbon development has accelerated, the proportion of clean energy consumption has increased by 6.6 percentage points, the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption has increased to 14.3%, and natural gas consumption has increased. The proportion reached 7.8%. At the same time, 810 million tons of backward coal production capacity have been withdrawn and 700 million kilowatts of renewable energy installed.

Shi Jialin, deputy secretary and director of the State Television Investment Party Group, said that by 2025, the State Television Investment Corporation will add 28 million kilowatts of new photovoltaic power generation, with a total installed capacity of 45 million kilowatts, maintaining the world's first photovoltaic installed scale. On the supply side, photovoltaic and nuclear, fire, water, wind and other energy complementary, grid friendly development will be realized. On the demand side, the conversion and extension of photovoltaic and hydrogen energy, energy storage, heat storage and other related energy sources will be realized, and the large-scale substitution of fossil energy will be promoted.
In recent years, all kinds of energy enterprises and Internet enterprises have laid out smart energy business in succession. Zeng Ming, director of the Energy Internet Research Center of North China Electric Power University, believes that with the integration of information technology, intelligent technology and energy industry, such as "cloud big things transfer wisdom", the intelligent energy industry has developed new business models, such as UAV intelligent patrol, robot housekeeper, which will change the way of energy production and consumption.
Zhang Jianhua said that in order to promote the energy revolution, we should strive for the "four innovations". Firstly, we should adopt new ways to ensure energy security. We should closely focus on the weak links of China's energy security and vigorously promote the work of making up for shortcomings in the energy field. Second, we should make new efforts in promoting clean and low-carbon transformation, deal with the new climate change situation pragmatically, and scientifically plan the energy development strategy to adapt to China's national conditions and development stage. Third, new breakthroughs should be made in tackling key technical problems, keeping up with the trend of world energy science and technology development, concentrating on breaking through a number of technological equipment that are stuck in the neck, speeding up the deployment of strategic cutting-edge technologies such as energy storage and hydrogen energy, and striving to seize the lead in the new round of energy science and technology revolution. Fourthly, we should make new progress in deepening the reform of energy system and mechanism, continue to deepen the reform of electric power system, continue to optimize the market environment, activate folk vitality, accelerate mode innovation and promote high-quality development of energy industry.
